After graduating from The University of Salford in 2012, I worked at sports injuries clinics in Manchester and Sheffield. This involved working with a wide range of patients from the general population and individuals involved in sport from amateur to elite level. I joined the team at the West Yorkshire Physiotherapy Centre in May 2015. Prior to qualifying, I worked as a personal trainer and sports massage therapist. This experience has enabled me to provide a comprehensive service including injury treatment, rehabilitation, injury reduction and sports performance.
I use both hands on physiotherapy treatment and exercise to ensure a quick and full recovery from injury, and see injury as an opportunity to help people function at a higher level than they did previously. Through manual therapy and providing input to my patients training programmes, I aim to help them move better, become stronger and more resilient, and ultimately improve their performance.
I am passionate about sports and fitness. When I was at school, I competed nationally in the 400 metres and triple jump. My fitness addiction is now satisfied with regular strength and circuit training with the occasional visit to the track to re-live my former days of glory! I find that regular training helps me to better understand my patients needs and ensures that I remain up to date with developments in the field of health and sports performance.
